Product summary

BENKAN VIETNAM manufactures stainless steel castings using lost wax at a factory in Long An province near Ho Chi Minh City.

With lost wax precision casting, even complex shapes can be manufactured at low cost and with high dimensional accuracy.

We manufacture products that meet customer requests based on the know-how we have cultivated through the manufacture of piping joints.

The production line of Benkan Vietnam includes lost wax precision casting, machining, heat treatment, pickling treatment, inspection, and assembly processes.

We also have existing business partners for surface treatment, so we can accommodate your requests.

1. Wax pattern injection molding

Wax is poured into a pre-designed and processed mold to form a wax model (wax pattern) in the same shape as the product.

2. Tree assembly Assemble the formed wax pattern onto the runner.

A runner is a passageway through which molten metal (molten metal) flows from the casting spout to the original part of the product.

The assembled wax is also called a "tree" because of its appearance after assembly.

3. Coating

The wax model is dipped into a mud-like material made from a mixture of refractory materials such as zircon powder, which has high fire resistance and low thermal expansion, and a curing agent such as collodyl silica.

Repeat dipping to achieve desired thickness, then let dry completely.

4. Remove the wax

After thoroughly drying the mold, the wax inside the mold is melted and removed by spraying high-pressure, high-temperature steam inside the dewaxing machine.

The name lost wax precision casting comes from this process, which involves losing the wax.

5. Firing and melting

Firing is performed at 1,000 to 1,200 to burn off wax that could not be removed during the dewaxing process and to sinter the refractory mold to increase mold strength.

6. Pouring

Pour the molten metal (stainless steel in Benkan  Vietnam) into the fired mold.

7. Heat treatment

In order to bring out the original performance of stainless steel, we perform solid solution heat treatment.

What is "solution heat treatment"? It is a process in which the material is heated and maintained at an appropriate temperature, the alloy components of the material are dissolved into the solid (solid solution), and then rapidly cooled to prevent the formation of precipitates.

This is often applied to austenitic stainless steel, and the purpose is to remove internal stress caused by processing, welding, etc., and to improve the structure, such as improving corrosion resistance.

Inspection: We carry out dimensional measurements using calipers and height gauges, gauge inspections, appearance inspections, pressure resistance inspections, etc.

Lost wax precision casting made using this process can produce products with beautiful surface finishes and complex shapes with high dimensional accuracy.

At Benkan Vietnam, we are able to deliver nonstop products to our customers through Japanese-level quality control and in-house integrated production.

We also accept requests for mass production and small lots of a wide variety of products, so please feel free to contact us.
