｜Thread standards
One of the typical connection methods for pipes is the "thread" connection.
Its characteristic is that due to its spiral structure, there are two main types: male screws with threads on the outside and female screws with threads on the inside, used to connect parts.
Benkan Vietnam also has many product lines that come with "screws".
However, "thread" also has two types of "male thread": "R (taper male thread for pipes)" and "G (parallel male thread for pipes)". For "female thread", there are "Rc (conical female thread for pipes)", "Rp (parallel female thread for pipes)" and "G (parallel female thread for pipes)".
All of these "screws" are regulated according to JIS standards and Benkan Vietnam products comply with JIS standards.

｜Thread connection (combined)
Basically, when connecting (combining) screws, the "R thread" is connected to the "female R thread (Rc, Rp)" and the "G thread" is connected to the "G thread".
We often receive questions regarding the use of "PJ screws".
"PJ thread" is only specified as "male thread" in the JIS standard, so "Female thread" on the other side could be any of the following: "Rc thread", "Rp thread" or "Rp thread" G".
The combination of these screws is summarized below.
Since there are many different combinations of "screws" as described above, we ask that you consider the following.

■Connect “PJ thread” and “G female thread”
Water is blocked by mechanical joints (packing) so there is almost no chance of water leaking due to poor construction.
However, when connecting "PJ thread" and "Rc thread" or "Rp thread", water-proof performance can be achieved by wrapping it with sealing tape, etc.
Sealing performance also varies depending on the number of sealing tape rolls.
■Connect "R thread" and "Rc thread"
Because the distance between the screws is small, the number of turns of the sealing tape can be reduced.
However, with the combination of "Rp female thread", the gap will be a little larger, so we recommend wrapping a little more sealing tape.
■Connect "PJ male thread" and "Rc female thread" or "Rp female thread"
Because the distance between the screws is very large, the number of rolls of tape must also be very large.
Basically, it is necessary to wrap the tape tightly until no leakage occurs, but in the case of combining "PJ male thread" and "Rp female thread", we recommend 10 turns or more.
