■Standardization
As a business develops, standards for quality, performance, safety, dimensions, testing methods, etc. are essential.
Standards are a collection of common rules (arrangements) called "standardization" that have been established.
The purpose is to "reduce, simplify, order, and unify things and matters that would otherwise become diverse, complex, and disordered if left alone."
First, each company will conduct internal standardization.
However, if each company works according to its own standards, business activities cannot go beyond the company's scope, and the market itself will be disturbed and difficult to develop.
Therefore, based on past usage records, standardized standards will be established by related companies and industries. (Actual standard)
From there, as the general popularity progresses and social conditions change, for example, in Japan, it becomes necessary to establish standards standardized by public institutions such as JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards). (Legal standard)
Furthermore, as business attempts to develop internationally, standardization of standards between countries becomes important.
These include ISO (International Organization for Standardization).
Benkan Vietnam's products and production facilities are certified according to many different standards depending on intended use.
■ISO Standards
"ISO" is an abbreviation for International Organization for Standardization, and is an international standard.
In order to make international transactions smoother, international standards are established to ensure that the same quality and level of products and services can be provided around the world.
On the other hand, ISO standards have been established not only for the products themselves, but also for the mechanisms (management systems) for managing an organization's quality and environmental activities. These are called "management system standards" and include standards such as quality management systems (ISO 9001) and environmental management systems (ISO 14001).
Benkan Vietnam is certified for quality management system (ISO 9001-2015) and environmental management system (ISO 14001-2015).
■Japanese Industrial Standards
"JIS" is an abbreviation for Japanese Industrial Standards. Officially, it is "Japanese Industrial Standards" and is one of Japan's national standards.
This can be said to be a quality assurance standard that the state, which is a public institution, provides to consumers.
Among Benkan Vietnam products, the applicable products are "JINOX pipes/stainless steel pipes for general piping (JIS G 3448) and stainless steel pipes for piping (JIS-G-3459)".
The "JIS mark", which is proof of this, can be displayed on conforming products by certified manufacturers based on the "Industrial Standardization Law" and the "JIS Mark Display Certification System."
In addition, it is necessary to appoint a "quality control manager" for management.
The role of this "quality control manager" is becoming increasingly important to ensure the reliability of JIS labeled products, against incidents and accidents related to product quality in the recent year.
■Stainless Steel Association Standards
JIS standards are widely applied or standardization is considered depending on the social situation.
On the other hand, SAS is a stainless steel association standard (de facto standard) certified by the Stainless Steel Association.
The Stainless Steel Association is a cooperative organization of stainless steel-related companies and organizations that aims to develop demand for stainless steel products, improve technology and strengthen research and development. to the healthy development of the stainless steel industry from an international perspective and contribute to the development of Japanese industry. This is an organization established with the purpose of contributing to the prosperity of Japanese industry, economy, social life and people's lives.
To develop the stainless steel pipe market, if only the internal standards of each company are followed, the market itself will be disturbed and difficult to develop.
The Stainless Steel Association's standards are standards intended to contribute to stabilizing and improving the quality of stainless steel pipe materials as well as improving production and processing technology. This is the official standard established according to the Mechanical Equipment Construction Specifications issued by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan.
First of all, "Common Stainless Steel Pipe Joint Standard (SAS322)" has been established as a Performance standard. A separate certification number will be issued if each criterion is met.
The target products are "Molco Joint (SAS32203), "BK Joint II (SAS32224)" and "EG Joint (SAS32222)" and Benkan Vietnam is certified as an OEM manufacturing factory.
■ Certification/Standard Certification
Each standard clearly specifies size, shape and mechanical strength. The purpose of this is to standardize product quality or quality in use so that performance exceeds a certain standard.
In addition, achieving these standards is also one of the criteria to determine whether the implementation meets the requirements for use or not.
In other words, it can be said that this is a guarantee standard set by public authorities in a fair and equitable manner.
Therefore, to achieve standards, not only the product performance but also the production system and quality control system are strictly tested.
Additionally, not only once certification has been achieved, periodic audits are then carried out to ensure that it is maintained and managed.
* Benkan Vietnam will continue its efforts to maintain and manage these standards based on TQM (Total Quality Management) to provide products that satisfy customers.
