METAL PROCESSING METHODS (MECHANICAL PROCESSING)

1. Mechanical

Metal machining can be divided into two types: machining that removes material and machining that does not remove material.

Machining without material removal is processing that does not generate metal debris such as casting, welding, and pressing.

On the contrary, material removal machining methods are machining methods that generate metal debris (Chips) such as cutting and grinding machining.

Material removal machining often uses equipment such as Lathes, Milling Machines, Drilling Machines, Grinding Machines, NC machine tools, Machining Centers for cutting, and it is one of the basic machining techniques with production machining technology.

   

Mechanical processing at BENKAN VIETNAM is a main production stage, and we are using NC machine tools to produce products in the Casting line.

 

 

2. CNC machine tools

The word NC in the word NC Machine Tools means Numerically Controlled, and is often defined as "controlling tool and workpiece to machine parts based on numerical coordinate encoding information".

In BENKAN VIETNAM, NC machine tools are also called CNC Machine Tools, or Computer NC, because they are controlled by a computer through digital coding.

We are operating both lathes and milling machines.

Machining Turning is a machining method by making the material to be machined (cutting object) after being fixed and rotating around an axis, and translating the Turning Tool (cutting tool) into the material to be machined to Achieve the size and shape as specified in the technical drawings.

We mostly process the threaded parts of JINOX coupling products using this method.

In milling processing, the material to be machined (cutting object) is fixed on the machine table, the main shaft rotates and is equipped with a milling cutter (cutting tool), by the method of translating the machine table and moving the milling cutter up. down to remove material to process the correct size and shape as required.

   

 

 

 

3. Features of mechanical processing

BENKAN VIETNAM's mechanical processing has the following features:

1. High precision machining

By applying NC machining method, with a high level of automation, the stability of product quality after processing is high and meets the requirements.

2. Low processing costs

By automating with NC machines, the number of operating staff can be reduced, and bring efficiency in production costs.

3. Diverse processing

In addition to metals such as stainless steel, aluminum and other metals, NC machines can also process other non-metallic materials.

   

Conventional machine tools are operated by human operations.

As for the NC machine tools introduced by BENKAN VIETNAM, machining is performed using automatic control.

 

Because conventional machine tools depend on the skills of workers, product quality will fluctuate, but using automatic and program-controlled machine tools can satisfy both quality and details with difficult shapes.

We recognize that NCization is an important initiative to improve skill inheritance between senior and entry-level workers.

At BENKAN VIETNAM, since 2017, we have invested in 7 machines, by 2017 the number of machines is 10 machines, and by 2020 the number of NC lathes has been 20 machines. By increasing the number of machines, we have Realizing production cost reduction by optimizing machining efficiency and stable quality control.
